Division: Marketing
Position Summary:
The Communications Specialist is responsible for planning, managing, and executing digial media and communications projects including copywriting and visual design of content.
Duties and Responsibilities:
SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT
1. Develops and implements a social media strategy that aligns with institutional goals.
Satisfactory performance is achieved when:
- Social media accounts’ design assets are up to date with branding objectives.
- Social media campaigns develop brand awareness within key markets.
- Engaging content is published with high regularity.
- Social media calendar is created at least 2 weeks ahead and followed.
- Social media strategy is developed at least 4 months ahead (together with Communications Director) and followed.
- All relevant LCC events have adequate social media coverage.
COPYWRITING IN ENGLISH AND LITHUANIAN
2. Produces engaging short-form and long-form written content in English and Lithuanian languages for international and local audiences respectively.
Satisfactory performance is achieved when:
- Print, web, and social media materials contain compelling content that helps audience understand and engage with LCC’s mission.
- Content is well-tailored to the audience and the purpose of the communication.
- Content is clear, concise, and creative.
- Event coverage, interviews, and research results in accurate and engaging content.
GRAPHIC DESIGN
3. Creates visual assets using graphic design and editing tools.
Satisfactory performance is achieved when:
- Visual assets necessary for social media are produced and posted.
- Existing designs receive edits to adjust for current information.
- Visual design assets are created in adherence to LCC’s brand guidelines.
- Visual design assets successfully deliver the intended message and are adapted for the platform where they will be published.
REPORTS TO: Communications Director
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business/communication/marketing or related field
Experience: Preferable to have at least 2 years of experience working in a marketing, communications, or social media management role.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of key social media platforms – especially LinkedIn and Facebook
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills in both English and Lithuanian
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong eye for visual composition
- Working knowledge of Canva
- Basic proficiency with desktop publishing tools, including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
- Fluency in Microsoft Office product suite
- Fluent in English and Lithuanian
Salary: starting from 1500 EUR (before tax) – may vary depending on the qualifications and skills of the applicant
Workload: Full-time (1.0 FTE)
