Duties and Responsibilities
1. Lithuanian Labor Code Compliance
- Create and file work contracts
- Administer hiring, termination, and other not-coming-to-work bases.
- Administer work contract changes (loads, terms, salary changes).
- Administer scheduled vacation (annual and non-paid).
- Administer changes in minimum wage.
- Coordinate required annual on-site medical exams for faculty and staff.
- Document other Labor Code related issues (basis for work contract termination, QRs, etc.).
- Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of the Lithuanian labor Code.
- Ensure LCC HR policies are current with Lithuanian Labor Code.
- Ensure workplace safety requirements are known and met at LCC.
- Participate as needed in meetings, seminars, conferences related to maintaining current Labor Code knowledge.
- Ensure all employment-related processes comply with data privacy law (GDPR).
- Review and update the Employee Handbook as necessary to reflect current policies.
- Provide mandatory compliance training for new and existing employees.
2. SoDra Reports and Documentation
- Ensure required SoDra reports (hiring and termination forms SD1, SD2), giving birth leave (NP SD), maternity leave (SD9) and paternity leave forms, non-paid vacation leave (SD12) are accurate and completed on time.
- Maintain accurate record of submissions.
- Oversee maternity end dates and keep supervisors informed.
- Administer sick leave.
- Ensure expatriates understand relevant SoDra medical, tax, and pension information.
3. Payroll Administration
- Confirm monthly hours for timecards, overtime and work-on-day-off to accounting.
- Submit payroll changes to accounting based on approved changes to employment terms.
4. Employment of Student Assistants and Camp Employees
- Administer contracts for Student Assistants.
- Provide guidance and support to dept chairs and dept managers with timecards, labor code regulations and hiring/firing processes related to student assistants.
- Administer contracts for summer camp employees.
5. Faculty Registry
- Maintain and submit faculty employment data to the Faculty Registry (start/end date of the contracts, education, FTE, other data).
6. Organizational Development / Culture
- Demonstrate LCC’s values in all internal and external communication and relationships.
- Partner with leadership to infuse core values into LCC’s culture.
- Support COO with faculty and staff performance management processes and related compensation systems.
- Assist in arranging HR-sponsored events (i.e., August Staff/Faculty Retreat, Employee Thanksgiving, Christmas Party, April Employee Appreciation, and May Matters).

Job Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Relevant bachelor’s degree required
Experience:
- At least 3 years of related HR experience
- Familiarity with higher education (preferred)
- Familiarity with LCC International University (preferred)
