Department Chair and Faculty Position in Business (August 2024)
Klaipeda, LithuaniaPosition Summary: LCC International University seeks candidates for a department chair and faculty position teaching position in the International Business Administration Department, with vision to build a Master of Business Administration program. Specialization within the Business fields are open, but areas of priority include management (teaching classes such as HR management, Leadership, Organizational Behavior, Entrepreneurship, Business Environment). The leadership role would include a half-time assignment directing the program and half-time teaching. The faculty load is typically 3/3 for teaching. Additionally, faculty who hold a terminal degree will have a research load as their 4th component of load. All faculty are expected to conduct research and participate in the active intellectual life of the institution.

Duties and Responsibilities for the Chair:
- Oversee the faculty and curriculum in the BA program in International Business Administration.
- Provide vision for the BA program and a potential future MBA program
- Manage schedules, communication with other offices, recruitment of faculty, and planning.
- Develop contacts with leaders in the local business community.
- Teach half-time in an area of specialty
- Teach courses in areas of specialty
- Teach core courses and offer electives in the BA program in International Business Administration
- Mentor and advise students; supervise thesis projects.
- Participate in departmental and university faculty life, including meetings, committees, advising, and interaction with students.
- Publish scholarly work and/or conduct applied research
- Ph.D. in Business, Management, Leadership, Organizational Behavior or a related field highly preferred. Professional experience a plus, but not required. Rank of appointment commensurate with qualifications.
- Prior administrative experience in higher education or business.
- Three years of teaching experience at the undergraduate level preferred.
- Ability and willingness to adapt to a highly diverse international context.
- Demonstrated record of scholarship preferred.
- Commitment to student-centered teaching and learning within a Christian worldview.
