Position Summary: The Chief Advancement Officer is responsible for implementing innovative communication and development strategies for current and potential donors in the United States. She/he will manage the special, major and principal gift fundraising activities for LCC International University in the United States, in support of the president.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Fundraising
  • Collaborate with the president to establish and achieve Annual Fund stretch goals
  • Collaborate with the board of directors and the president to successfully implement large Capital Campaigns
  • Collaborate to successfully meet designated project goals
  • Research, initiate and maintain grant proposals with government agencies and private/corporate foundations
• Donor Engagement
  • Develop and maintain an annual donor communication plan
• Other Relationships
  • Develop and deepen relationships with foundations
  • Develop and deepen relationships for broader institutional purposes
  • Develop and deepen relationships with donors/friends beyond the assigned geographical region, as requested by the president

Job Requirements:

• Education:
  • Masters degree or higher
• Experience:
  • 5-7 years working in areas related to fundraising, development, and/or relationship management, preferably within higher education
• Skills:
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
  • Advanced interpersonal and emotional intelligence
  • Technical knowledge of social media and mass communication technologies
• Other:
  • Ability to travel to meet donors
  • Attention to details in reading and precision in writing
  • Ability to manage, supervise, and evaluate a total program of institutional advancement and development effectively
  • Ability to respect and/or appreciate others with different perspectives, lifestyles, and backgrounds
