(LCC Canada) seeks an experienced part-time Executive Director to lead its Canadian operations supporting LCC International University, a premier Christian liberal arts institution in Klaipeda, Lithuania.

About the Organization

LCC International Fund Inc. is a registered Canadian charity that supports LCC International University in Klaipeda, Lithuania. While the university operates independently with its own leadership team, LCC Canada plays a crucial role in providing financial support and maintaining proper governance and oversight of charitable funds from Canadian donors.

The Role

The Executive Director position offers a unique opportunity to blend strategic financial management with meaningful international impact. This part-time leadership role (20-32 hours per week) reports directly to the LCC Canada Board of Directors and focuses on Canadian operations, governance, and financial management.

As the Executive Director, you will provide oversight and stewardship for LCC Canada, ensuring compliance with Canadian charitable laws and managing key relationships with LCC International University’s leadership team and LCC International Fund Inc. (USA). Across the three organizations you will work with an outstanding team dedicated to making a global impact by ensuring LCC International University has the resources to effectively prepare graduates who will play key roles in government, business, and civil society worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership (40%)
  • Oversee all financial operations and ensure compliance with Canadian regulatory requirements
  • Manage banking relationships and investment portfolios
  • Direct financial reporting and annual audit processes
  • Supervise the Finance Administrator in day-to-day operations
  • Oversee the generation and distribution of donation receipts and tax receipts
Governance Excellence (30%)
  • Ensure compliance with federal and provincial regulations
  • Maintain strong organizational policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with legal counsel and external advisors
  • Foster effective relationships with the Board of Directors
Administrative Oversight (30%)
  • Manage corporate documentation and reporting
  • Coordinate board meetings and documentation
  • Oversee risk management and insurance
  • Maintain effective international communications
Opportunity for Growth

This role offers potential for expanded scope and hours based on the candidate's interests, experience and skills. Additional areas could include:
  • Management of subsidiary real estate investment corporations
  • Donor relations and fundraising initiatives
  • Program development of study abroad and volunteer initiatives
Work Environment and Structure
  • This position is primarily remote-based, offering significant flexibility in work schedule
  • A home office setup is required, with LCC Canada providing necessary technology support (Access to shared office space in Abbotsford will be considered if needed)
  • Regular virtual meetings with the LCC Canada Board President, Finance Administrator, and Board members
  • Regular check-in meetings (phone/video/in-person) required with the Board President (based in Abbotsford, BC) and the Finance Administrator
  • Quarterly in-person meetings in the Abbotsford area for document signing and local coordination
  • Scheduled virtual meetings with LCC International University leadership (e.g. Chief Operating Officer and President) accommodating time zone differences
  • Must be available to travel to Lithuania (1-2 trips per year, Fall and/or Spring) to attend board meetings and collaborate with local counterparts
  • Digital document management and cloud-based systems for seamless remote collaboration
  • Clear communication protocols and reporting structures to ensure efficient remote operations
The Ideal Candidate

We seek a strategic leader who combines financial expertise with a passion for international education and Christian values. The successful candidate will bring:

Professional Qualifications:
  • MBA and/or CPA designation, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years in financial leadership, preferably in the Canadian charitable sector
  • Strong understanding of charitable regulations and international operations
  • Proven experience with accounting systems and online banking platforms, MS office, and other cloud-based software programs
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote environment

  • Active involvement in a Christian church community
  • Excellence in remote collaboration and cross-cultural communication
  • Strategic thinking with attention to detail
  • Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently
  • Comfort with digital tools and virtual collaboration platforms
Location and Hours
  • Remote work-based position with quarterly in-person meetings in Abbotsford, BC
  • 20-32 hours per week, with flexibility to structure your own schedule
  • Two one-week trips to Lithuania annually for board meetings
  • Preference for candidates in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia

Compensation
  • CAD$45.00-$55.00 per hour based on the candidate’s qualifications
