Expatriate Recruiter

Position Summary: The Expatriate Recruiter is responsible to recruit qualified, mission-fit faculty and staff from North America to support the mission of LCC International University in Klaipeda, Lithuania.  At least 66% of LCC faculty must be North American, preferably with experience at a Christian liberal arts university, to support our educational model.  Moreover, Student Life staff including Residence Life, Campus Ministries, Student Success, and Intercultural Education positions, as well as Summer Language Institute volunteer positions are typically filled by North Americans.  Most North American staff working at LCC develop and grow a team of ministry partners who provide prayer and financial support.  The Expatriate Recruiter is responsible to find faculty and staff with the appropriate academic and professional qualifications who are also willing and able to fundraise or self-fund. 

The University: LCC International University is a fully accredited liberal arts university located in the port city of Klaipeda, Lithuania. Instruction is in English and the campus is residential. Our 650 students from diverse faith backgrounds come from over 60 countries for an education modeled on the North American liberal arts college with a Christian worldview.   

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Recruitment Strategy: Build expatriate recruitment strategy to ensure Strategic Plan goals are met. 
  • Pipeline Development: Establish robust applicant pipeline. 
  • Candidate Qualification and Management: Strong candidates likely to accept an offer from LCC are progressed to a departmental interview.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Affirmation of Apostles Creed and Nicene Creed; 
  • Bachelor’s degree; 
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written); 
  • Passion for Christian ministry and service; 
  • Ability to formulate and cast vision in a manner that inspires people to join LCC; 
  • Ability to initiate and build relationships with senior leaders at partner organizations; 
  • Strong analytical and strategic skills; 
  • Exceptional organizational skills; 
  • Strong self-motivation and initiative. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree; 
  • Experience in higher education; 
  • Experience in Human Resources or Recruitment; 
  • Familiarity with LCC International University; 
  • Experience in an international, cross-cultural work environment;  
  • Experience with personal fundraising and ministry partner development; 
  • Experience setting and achieving objectives in a remote environment;  
  • Ability to travel and represent LCC’s mission in a compelling way at key recruitment events;  
  • Ability to travel to Lithuania once a year. 
Workload: Half Time (0.5 FTE)
