Faculty Position in Communication – Integrated Marketing Management / Organizational Communication (open rank)

Klaipeda, Lithuania

LCC International University in Klaipeda, Lithuania, welcomes applications for a full-time faculty position, open rank, in the Department of Contemporary Communication, beginning August 2023.

We seek a candidate who will teach courses in the BA program in Contemporary Communication, in the areas of public relations, strategic communication and media relations, and organizational communication; supervise senior thesis projects; and participate in the active intellectual life of the campus. Load is 4/4 equivalent, with load time assigned for thesis advising and potentially for research projects. A record of research and other scholarly activities is desirable.

The University:
LCC International University is a fully accredited liberal arts university located in the port city of Klaipeda, Lithuania. Instruction is in English and the campus is residential. Our 650 students from divergent faith backgrounds come from over 60 countries for an education modeled on the North American liberal arts college with a Christian worldview.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach the core course in the major, Introduction to Public Relations.
  • Teach elective courses in areas such as strategic communication, media relations, organizational communication, and proposed special topics courses in the areas of expertise.
  • Supervise senior thesis projects in the areas of expertise.
  • Help develop the curriculum and vision for this area within the major and perhaps cross-disciplinarily with the Business department.
  • Mentor and advise students in the major.
  • Produce research and scholarship in an international setting.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in Communication or a related field expected. Professional experience a plus, but not required. Rank of appointment commensurate with qualifications.
  • Three years of teaching experience at the undergraduate level preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to adapt to a highly diverse international context.
  • Demonstrated record of scholarship preferred.
  • Commitment to student-centered teaching and learning from a Christian worldview.
