IT Helpdesk/Academic Support Coordinator

Position Summary: 
The IT Helpdesk/Academic Support Coordinator is responsible for a) assisting and supporting the LCC community in relation to all audio-visual, sound, and technical support needs, b) overseeing, training, and equipping student assistants who support LCC events and programs, c) ensuring excellence of customer support and service to the LCC community that is grounded in clear and consistent communication, d) assessing and replacing essential technical equipment across campus (AV equipment, technical hardware, sound equipment, etc.), and e) training staff, faculty, and students on essential topics including but not limited to the Office 365 suite, livestreaming equipment, etc.

Duties and Responsibilities:
OVERSIGHT OF HELPDESK OFFICE
  1. Manage all incoming requests for support, checkouts, or technical maintenance.
  2. Ensure quality service to campus programs and events. 
  3. Regular maintenance is performed on AV equipment, technical hardware, and sound equipment. 
  4. Communicate with all staff and faculty regarding IT related updates or maintenance. 
TRAINING LCC EMPLOYEES
  1. Regular training on Microsoft Office Suite for staff and faculty. 
  2. Oversight of all Helpdesk student assistants
Learn new technologies and perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required.
Experience: 1-3 years experience in an IT support related position preferred.

Skills:
  • General IT skills, including Microsoft Windows, Office 365, etc.
  • Customer service mentality and attitude
  • Audio/visual and streaming knowledge
Other:
  • Understands and supports the mission of LCC
  • Ability to find solutions to problems in unfamiliar situations with little or no assistance.
