Program Director, MA in International Management

LCC International University in Klaipeda, Lithuania, welcomes applications for the position of Program Director of the MA program in International Management, as part of a full- or part-time faculty position, open rank, in the Department of International Business Administration,  beginning August 2021.  

The University:  
LCC International University is a fully accredited liberal arts university located in the port city of Klaipeda, Lithuania. All instruction is in English. Our 650 students from divergent faith backgrounds come from over 50 countries for an education modeled on the North American liberal arts college with a Christian worldview.   

Position Summary:  
The Program Director is responsible for the overarching strategic vision and readiness of LCC International University’s Master of Arts in International Management.  As such, the MA in International Management Program Director is responsible for the currency, development, and sustainability of the program with a strategic focus on innovation for social impact.

Duties include: 
  • Provides strategic guidance in the development of new program objectives and curriculum that emphasizes the core program identity of innovation for social impact 
  • Assists in the recruitment, on-boarding, and retention of MAIM program faculty 
  • Ensures program accreditation through periodic and programmatic reviews through coordination with the Director of Institutional Effectiveness 
  • Authors and maintains 2-year rolling academic calendar and plan for MAIM courses 
  • ​Develops and implements MA International Management policy 
  • Coordinates with Marketing Division personnel to promote the MAIM program for new students 
  • Conducts scholarly research to support institutional and programmatic requirements 
  • Creates and sustains strategic partnerships with local and major businesses to develop and sustain an emphasis on innovation for social impact 
  • Coordinates and supports the Admissions Office through promotion of the program, screening of candidates, and participation in admission interviews 
  • ​Teaches one class per year, as needed 
  • Manages MAIM budget, to include library needs and programmatic requirements 
  • Facilitates three residency sessions annually 
  • Works closely with the Registrar to ensure student registration and progress is sustained toward degree completion 
  • Advises the Business Department Chair and Academic Vice President on issues regarding the readiness of the MAIM program 
Qualifications needed: 
EDUCATION:  PhD or related terminal degree 
EXPERIENCE:   
  • Program management, especially in academics, preferred 
  • Teaching and teacher training experience 
  • On-line teaching experience, preferred  
SKILLS:  
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Ability to work independently 
  • Organization and long term planning skills 
  • Strong interpersonal skills 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite products
