LCC International University invites applications for the position of Chair of the International Business Administration Department, to begin Fall 2018 (or  earlier). We seek a candidate with creativity and vision to sustain and further develop practices of academic excellence in LCC’s largest academic department.   The position involves administration of the department, teaching courses within the programs in the department, and participating in the active intellectual life of the campus.
The position offers unique opportunities such as: travel and teaching/research in the Baltics, as well as countries in the larger region, such as Scandinavia and Germany to the west, and Ukraine and Georgia to the east; developing partnerships with universities and businesses in the local and greater region; and creative engagement with young alumni in start-ups and service positions.

Job Description
The Department of International Business Administration at LCC International University is seeking a full-time Chairperson who is available to serve in this role for a minimum of three years.
Responsibilities include:
Oversight of the Bachelor‘s degree program in International Business Administration
·      Teaching and scholarly research in area of expertise
·      Recruiting faculty for the department, in cooperation with the Academic Vice President and Human Resources Vice President
·      Providing supervision and support for the MA in International Management program
·      Developing course assignments and teaching loads of the faculty within the department
·      Providing professional development guidance to faculty in the Department
·      Ongoing program curriculum assessment and quality assurance
·      Assisting in student recruitment and promotion of the university business program
·      Assisting the Academic Vice President in program accreditation
·      Ensuring adequate student advising for all majors within the department
·      Overseeing senior thesis process in International Business Administration
·      Managing the discretionary budget for the department
·      Service to the LCC community as well as outreach and participation in the municipal and regional community

·      Building and maintaining stakeholder relationships with relevant businesses in the region

Required Qualifications
·       Firm commitment to supporting LCC’s mission of providing Christian liberal arts education within a diverse learning community 
·       Doctoral degree in Business, International Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Management, Marketing or a related discipline;
·       Demonstrated leadership and management skills;
·       Demonstrated competence in teaching undergraduate courses;
·       Demonstrated commitment to student-centered education;
·       Demonstrated commitment to and knowledge of a culturally diverse student body;
·       Preference for experience in Christian higher education.
