Admissions Counselor (Ukraine-based)

Position Summary:
Shared responsibility for developing and implementing programs and activities designed to enroll new students from Ukraine at LCC. Run full range of recruitment and admissions efforts, including travel, group presentations, campus events, individual meetings, application review and related duties as assigned. To represent University to prospective students and parents on the phone, by email/letter and in person at various locations in Ukraine, organize and supervise summer programs and other in-country projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  •  Developing and implementing student recruitment strategies to include correspondence, interviews and telemarketing strategies
  •  Establishing budgets for travel, special events and direct mail promotions including tracking for cost effectiveness
  •  Developing and prioritizing a database of schools, churches, organizations, and other contacts to generate student interest
  •  Trip planning/ Trip evaluation reports/ Thank you notes to schools mailed
  •  High-school presentations, fairs, TOEFL on the road, and any other recruitment events as set in the Admissions Department goals and marketing strategies
  •  Connecting with churches in the area/ visiting youth groups
  •  Researching and knowing the area – visiting appropriate institutions
  •  Data entry of all presentation inquiries into ACT!
  •  Generate reports as needed
  •  Develop relationships with qualified prospects by phone to help provide them with the information necessary to help them decide if LCC is a good choice for them
  •  Make follow up phone calls to all presentation inquiries
  •  Make follow up phone calls to all ‘A’ prospects after info mailings have been sent
  •  Phone ‘A’ prospects to remind them of visit days, deadlines, visits to their town, etc.
  •  Keep prospective students informed as to what application material have and have not been received, and keep them informed as to where they are in the process
  •  Make regular phone calls to admitted students to ensure they understand the preparation process, meet deadlines, etc.
  •  Tracking of missing documents and informing students
  •  Weekly reports run from ACT!
  •  Weekly reports on funnel stats
  •  Other reports as assigned
  •  Reports to the Director of Admissions
  •  Works closely with other ADMS Counselors, ADMS Student Assistants, ADMS Ambassadors, other offices within Marketing division
  •  Links with Academics and Student Life
