LCC International University invites applications for the position of promotion-track, full-time academic writing instructor to begin in fall semester 2018. The position involves teaching several courses in academic writing and rhetoric in the English department, advising senior thesis students, and participating in the active intellectual life of the campus.
The University: LCC International University is a fully accredited liberal arts university located in the port city of Klaipeda, Lithuania. All instruction is in English and our 550 students come from over 30 countries for an education with a Christian worldview.
The Department: The English Department offers the following degree program: BA English and MA TESOL. The department also houses the PRIME, program, an intensive English program for pre-university students and also the ELI program which offers language programs for the community. Because of the international nature of the student body, there is ample opportunity for research in the areas of applied linguistics, sociolinguistics, writing instruction, and language acquisition.
Job Description
• Teach BA level courses; Written Composition and Academic Writing at the freshman level;
• Teach BA courses in the areas of TESOL, applied linguistics
• Advise senior thesis students in TESOL related areas;
• Engage in continual development of the writing center for all students
• Supervise senior thesis projects;
• Opportunity for research and scholarship in an international setting.

Preferred Qualifications: 
• PhD in TESOL, applied linguistics, curriculum or related field OR an MA in TESOL with two- three years of teaching experience;
• Demonstrated competence in teaching at the undergraduate level;
• Demonstrated record of scholarship preferred
• Commitment to liberal arts education within the international context of LCC
• Demonstrated commitment to student-centered teaching and learning from a Christian worldview;
