Faculty Member (Open Rank) in Strategic Communication

LCC International University seeks candidates for a faculty position in the Global Business and Public Engagement (GPE) program, with a primary disciplinary background in Strategic Communication, Communication Studies, Public Relations, or a closely related field.
The GPE Department integrates communication, business, and global engagement. The department emphasizes strategic communication, public engagement, ethical leadership, and global competence, with growing focus on digital communication, organizational communication, and communication for social impact.
Position Focus We are especially seeking candidates with a strong grounding in strategic communication who can teach introductory and upper-level courses in communication and public engagement. Demonstrated expertise in strategic communication or public relations is essential, and the ability to teach courses in organizational communication, digital/media communication, public engagement, or communication ethics is highly desirable. Experience connecting theory to practice in global or intercultural contexts is a strong asset.
The University LCC International University is a fully accredited liberal arts university located in the port city of Klaipėda, Lithuania. Instruction is in English, and the campus is residential. Responsibilities
Teaching required and elective courses in strategic communication, public engagement, and related areas within the GPE curriculum.
Designing engaging, student-centered learning experiences that integrate theory and practice.
Conducting, presenting, and publishing original research or applied scholarship, preferably in the areas of emerging communication, digital business communication, and AI.
Serving as an academic advisor to selected students.
Supervising selected undergraduate theses or capstone projects.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in Strategic Communication, Communication Studies, Public Relations, or a closely related field by the time of appointment; preference given to candidates eligible for appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor.
Candidates with a master’s degree in communication or a related field and at least three years of relevant professional experience may be considered.
Demonstrated effectiveness in undergraduate teaching.
Demonstrated commitment to and experience working with a culturally diverse student body.
Ability and desire to work collegially within an interdisciplinary, Christian academic community.
Demonstrated commitment to student-centered teaching and learning within a Christian worldview.
