
5. Professional Development Additional Assignment – In addition to primary responsibilities as a Resident Director, the Resident Director will dedicate .20 FTE to a flexible contribution area that aligns with institutional needs and the professional interests and career goals of the Resident Director. This component is designed to foster personal and professional growth and provide opportunities to engage in meaningful work and collaboration beyond the primary resident director responsibilities, and provide service to key functions at LCC. RDs will receive an appropriate title that reflects their additional role.
RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to: Director of Housing & Residence Life
Works Closely With: Student Life Staff, Front Desk Staff, Business Office, Maintenance Staff, Information Technology Staff
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field required, Master’s degree inf Student Personnel, Counseling, Ministry of Higher Education or Student Development preferred
Experience: 1+ Year working in higher education, residence life, or international communities.
Experience in Student Development and/or Higher Education and working with student populations.
Experience with intercultural issues and international student populations and ability to work in a diverse environment
Familiarity with LCC International University (preferred).
Passion: To create a hospitable and welcoming environment, mentor and motivate students, and create strong communities and connections.
