Vice President, Marketing and Enrollment (August 2024)

Position Summary: The Vice President for Marketing and Enrollment is a key thought leader, strategic planner and partner, and member of the President’s Executive Cabinet. This position provides leadership, direction, and coordination of all aspects of marketing and branding as well as student recruitment management at LCC International University. 

The VP provides direct leadership for the Marketing and Communications Department, the Admissions Department, and the Student Financial Services Department. The VP embodies excellent team building and relationship-building skills and provides data driven strategic vision and support for marketing and communications and student recruitment efforts. The VP develops and maintains continuous interaction and collaboration with the divisions of Academics, Student Life, and Advancement.  The VP develops and enhances valuable partnerships with external constituents that help drive enrollment growth.

The VP represents and promotes LCC, increasing the university’s visibility and supporting the institution’s mission, vision, and goals. The VP leads the development and implementation of the university’s brand vision, strategy, and public relations campaigns to attract the best students, motivate alumni and donors and recruit high quality faculty and staff. 
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
 
MARKETING STRATEGY: Develop and execute a comprehensive communications, marketing and branding strategy consistent with the goals and vision of LCC.   Develop, execute, evaluate, and continuously improve on a comprehensive communication/marketing plan for the institution that employs traditional and social media to reach intended audiences.
  • BRAND MANAGEMENT: serve as the LCC brand manager, positioning the University in the market, determining target audiences and maintaining the desired reputation. 
  • COMMUNICATIONS OFFICE: ensure effective and consistent implementation of LCC’s brand strategy and communication/marketing plan by the Communications Department (including social media, article/story writing, videography, photography, graphic design).
  • MEDIA RELATIONS: communicate LCC’s position and policies on a variety of issues, serving as the University spokesperson with the media as appropriate. 
  • PUBLIC RELATIONS AND PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS: ensure effective and consistent messages and brand communication to all university audiences in all public relations and promotional materials (including print and digital, and the LCC website).
  • NETWORKING: develop institutional connections inside and outside Lithuania in support of student recruitment, university networking, and church relations.
ENROLLMENT STRATEGY: Develop an enrollment strategy in collaboration with Academics and Student Life.  Execute enrollment strategies related to Admissions and Student Financial Services.
  • RECRUITMENT MANAGEMENT: develop, execute, evaluate, and continuously improve on a comprehensive BA recruitment plan for the Admissions Department with measurable goals and objectives that are well monitored, well communicated and achieved.
  • ADMISSIONS OFFICE/STUDENT FINANCIAL AID: ensure effective and consistent implementation of LCC’s enrollment strategy and recruitment plan by the Admissions Department and Student Financial Services Department. 
  • ENROLLMENT GROWTH: Proactively advise on barriers to enrollment and suggest solutions and initiatives for improvement. Evaluate and recommend technology to support enrollment management and target achievement.  Conduct cost/benefit analyses of enrollment initiatives.

REPORTS TO: President
MEMBER OF: Cabinet Executive; President’s Cabinet
LINKS WITH: other departments and divisions of the university with influence on enrollment and with marketing and communications priorities

Basic Expectations:
  • A commitment to the distinctives of LCC as a Christian liberal arts university.
  • Written and oral fluency in English (Lithuanian or Russian a strong advantage).
  • Occasional required participation in evening/weekend events.
  • A commitment to professional development in the role.
Job Qualifications:
 
EDUCATION:                
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, business administration or a related field is required.
  • Master’s Degree and/or professional certification in marketing or public relations preferred.
EXPERIENCE:                 
  • Proven experience building and leading effective teams
  • Proven ability to build strategic partnerships with related institutions
  • Proven experience in a marketing or admissions leadership role
  • Proven experience in higher education
  • Admissions experience highly preferred
 SKILLS: 
  • Demonstrated leadership skills are required. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage operational aspects of an executive function including effective budgeting and fiscal management, personnel and strategic planning processes, and proficient use of related technology.
  • Exceptional skills in public speaking, professional writing, and interpersonal relations are required. 
  • Extensive capability to use quantitative and qualitative data to drive effective marketing, recruitment, and admission and student financial aid programs.  Able to lead a Lean Marketing approach.

Salary: starting from 4,000 EUR per month before taxes
